PB News
Hi Everyone, not much new news with PB. Since 1.3 has been released there have been some comments about PB not saving password. I will look into and try to fix for next release. Also some good requests have been coming in as well. There have been some misc reports of PB not working, and all I can attribute it to is blogger issue (or msn spaces issues).
Since PB was originally developed for blogger, which is owned by google, I thought I'd give a shameless plug as well. I just started collaborating on a new site, Googleness. We hope to have it be "everything google"

Version 1.3 Released (MSN Spaces Support)
I am glad to annouce that Pocket Blogger version 1.3 has been released (Download: here). Version 1.3 is cool because it has MSN Spaces support, which was just announced live today! I'd like to thank Dare at Microsoft for giving me the sneak peek early to get the implementation done before it was actually released.
Some things to note with MSN Spaces. You need to configure your space to allow PB to work.
Step 1 - login to your space and goto Settings, then E-mail Publishing
Turn on Email publishing and put an email adddress in.
Step 2 - Choose a secret word and set up the draft setttings
Once you have that configured, when you run pocketblogger, you will see a new menu called "Service" - you can choose Blogger or MSN Spaces. You can tell that PB is using which service by the logo you see at the top.
The username will be your blog name, like mine is "ScaleOvenStove" because my spaces blog is http://spaces.msn.com/scaleovenstove
The password will be the secret word you chose in step 2 above.
When you hit "Get Blogs", you should see your blog come back and you can create posts , view recent posts, edit and delete posts. I have tested it and it works!
You can switch back to Blogger if you have a blogger blog as well, it works both ways!

Pocket Blogger 1.2 Released
I have uploaded PB 1.2
This version hasnt really been tested alot, but I think it works.
With this build I had to make some backend modifications so older versions probably wont work. It is hard for me to test without a device, the emulator works, but it is tough.

Once MSN released their API live for MSN Spaces, I will modify PB 1.2 to support that (probably PB 1.2b)
Also - you probably need .net compact framework 2.0 to run PB 1.2

MSN Spaces
I can't say much, but I just want to let everyone know I am in the process of integrating MSN Spaces with PB. If that goes well, I will look at adding other blog services. Right now the MSN Spaces API is in beta, so once that is released I will have more to say :)

Well, looks like the PB web services were down for a while recently..I had some web.config settings goofed. Sorry! It should be working now. If not, let me know!

PB 1.2 Beta
Just an update: I have sent out PB 1.2 beta to people who have requested to test it. I havent heard any feedback yet, so I dont know how it is going.

No Pocket PC and No Beer Make Homer Something Something

I dont have a pocket PC anymore, and developing in virtual world is all good, but tough, tough to test on the actual device. I have this latest version (1.2) all ready, tough to test. Any takers? Please email me at scaleovenstove@pocketblogger.net
